Weapon Upgrades are a feature in Saints Row: The Third, Saints Row IV[1] and Saints Row: Gat out of Hell.[2]
Overview[]
Weapon Upgrades are available at Friendly Fire and grant improved accuracy, larger magazines, increased damage, and unique effects such as the ability to pierce armor.
Upgrading weapons is generally expensive, but an optional 25% Discount is an optional unlockable at the end of the mission "http://deckers.die".
If a weapon is available which has not yet been obtained, it can be purchased from the upgrade menu directly. Once a weapon has been upgraded, the upgrades cannot be removed.

- Weapon upgrading was first introduced in a GameSpot video,[3] which showed upgrades for the 45 Shepherd, KA-1 Kobra, TEK Z-10 and D4TH Blossom. A later review from GameSpot showed upgrades for the K-8 Krukov and Annihilator.[4]
