Activity

So this isn't an activity? Is there any word other than "feature" that could be used to describe it? --452 20:10, November 27, 2011 (UTC)

Hmm, there's probably a better word for it. I wouldn't really call it an Activity, no, as it's accessible from the Saintsbook, not the map, and isn't necessary for 100% completion. I also don't believe it's regarded as an Activity in the stats. – Moozipan Cheese(talk page) 02:16, November 28, 2011 (UTC)
They just have to make things difficult for us, don't they? :P
How about mini-game? --452 02:26, November 28, 2011 (UTC)
I can get behind this. – Moozipan Cheese(talk page) 02:55, November 28, 2011 (UTC)
Cool, I just don't like the word "feature" because it's so... nonspecific. Feels like saying "Vehicle Theft is a thing in SR3", doesn't really tell you what it is. And especially since stealing cars is a large part of the game, it would be better to specify that it's a "mini-game" or something, rather than a "feature", which is term i think is more appropriate for something like Sprint. --452 03:09, November 28, 2011 (UTC)
Speaking of 100% completion, how would you feel about a 100% completion article? Since completion percentage is an in-game concept, since it's listed in the stats, and a lot of people are interested in that sort of thing. --452 03:13, November 28, 2011 (UTC)
Seeing as I've completed them all and already have pictures of 100%-ing the first two Saints Row games, I'm all for this. Would we split them into three seperate articles for each game, or just have one? – Moozipan Cheese(talk page) 12:22, November 28, 2011 (UTC)
Let's start with a single page and see if it ends up large enough to split. --452 12:37, November 28, 2011 (UTC)
Ah, here's where that discussion is, can you add those images to the new article? --452 06:45, January 4, 2012 (UTC)
Sure, done. – Moozipan Cheese(talk page) 13:29, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

Garage

Someone added to the article that after turning in the N-Forcer, it will be returned to the garage. Is this true? --452 06:42, January 4, 2012 (UTC)

Not unless it's a recent patch. Otherwise you lose it. – Moozipan Cheese(talk page) 13:29, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

Instant explosion, just add mission.

Grieves' second mission, to retrieve the Compensator, is being a huge pain in the ass. About ten seconds after I get into the area where the truck is supposed to be, 'The target vehicle has been destroyed!' and the mission ends. This seems to be another specific vehicle thing, so I can't just grab the one I snarfed from the Luchadores and hand it over... Any idea how to find the thing before it kersplodinates? --Azaram (talk) 17:47, July 31, 2012 (UTC)

Of course, as soon as I ask, I find it. :P And yeah, it is one particular one. It seems to be surrounded by Luchadores, and if some of your Saints walk by, they start a fight and the truck gets beaten down in a hurry. Added a pic of the location, so you can go there, kill everyone, then start the mission. Not sure how/if to add it to the page, tho. File:Compensator location.png --Azaram (talk) 17:55, July 31, 2012 (UTC)
I've been wondering for a while what this map was about, but I've finally actually done this Vehicle Theft, so now I understand.
Generally, in Vehicle Theft, you drive to a neighborhood and the car you want randomly spawns and can be seen on the minimap. However, the Compensator, it's a specific car that you're repossessing, so you have to find it in a specific place.
If you just drive around, it pops up on the minimap when you get close enough, so what you can do is just find it, blow it up, kill everyone, then restart the Vehicle Theft.
As soon as you mark that Vehicle Theft as active, the Compensator spawns - so you can just stand where it's going to appear.
It is strange that it was getting destroyed so quickly, that didn't happen for me. -452 23:43, July 25, 2013 (UTC)

  • 1_1_A re: DIS AUTOHAUS IS IN NEED OF SOVEREIGNS
  • 1_1_B You look to make an impression in this city. Dieter has heard this. Want to be known by all the right people? Find for Dieter a Sovereign. 'Real men' drive them, but smart men steal them. The Downtown district will provide.
  • 1_2_A DIETER MUST HAVE AN EMU! FOR ART!
  • 1_2_B Dieter is a patron of the arts, darling. The Autohaus has commissioned a glam-trash installment piece featuring this kitschy, midtown ride. Since all the little people drive them, go looking in Brickston.
  • 1_3_A URGENT! DIETER NEEDS TO KEEP THE STATUS QUO!
  • 1_3_B There is a fabulous party tonight to which Dieter is invited. Whether you are closing billion-dollar deals or parading around five escorts (Dieter does both) you need a Status Quo! Look along the New Baranec strip for Dieter.
  • 1_4_A MIXMASTER SOLUTION
  • 1_4_B Problem people get cement shoes. Dieter's clients have a lot of problems. Dieter needs a lot of cement. Find a Longhauler "Mixmaster" in Yearwood.
  • 1_5_A DIETER WANTS JUSTICE!
  • 1_5_B I simply must have a walnut dash and heated foot pedals. Nothing will do but a Justice. Find one in Henry Steel Mills.
  • 1_6_A FIND A TITAN FOR ME, WON'T YOU?
  • 1_6_B So big, so fierce, so bulletproof. But a Titan's most-attractive feature to Dieter is how often they are filled with bags of cash. Find a few near the Three Count, picking up the casino take no doubt.
  • 2_1_A BOOST ME A HALBERD
  • 2_1_B So my shop keeps the best parts in stock for Steelport's tuners. You can start with a Halberd. It's short on headroom, but entry-level tuners can make it fly, ya know? Look around Brickston.
  • 2_2_A GRAB A NEURON FOR PARTS
  • 2_2_B It isn't a street race without a Neuron, which kinda makes their parts high-demand items. Look for them around the Henry Steel Mills.
  • 2_3_A RUNNER UP WANTS A TORCH, TOO
  • 2_3_B This particular Torch is Steelport's street racing champion. Now the sore-loser second-place finisher wants it. You're gunna find it around Ashwood.
  • 2_4_A SNATCHING THIS VORTEX IS A WIN/WIN
  • 2_4_B European roadster styling meets high resale value in the Vortex, meaning baby, we can't lose on this one. You can find them in or around Downtown.
  • 2_5_A FEEL LIKE GRABBING THIS KANEDA FOR ME?
  • 2_5_B Mint-condition Kanedas bring big bucks on the underground bike racing circuit, if you can catch one. Try looking in Bridgeport.
  • 2_6_A NEED A SUPER-EXOTIC TEMPTRESS PRONTO
  • 2_6_B You don't see a lot of these... The Temptress is stylish, agile, and very, very fast. People pay top-dollar for these machines. I will, too, yah? Try looking around the strip in New Baranec.
  • 3_1_A YOU GOT TALENT, I GOT WORK. LET'S BANK A BOOTLEGGER
  • 3_1_B I run the working man's chop-shop in town, and I need something big on power and short on brakes. This tricked-out Bootlegger is worth its weight in chrome, if you can find it. The owner usually hangs around Rosen Oaks.
  • 3_2_A TAKE A COMPENSATOR TO PAY DEBTS
  • 3_2_B Somebody couldn't pay their gambling debts, so we're taking their Compensator instead as... uh... compensation. Find it in Yearwood.
  • 3_3_A KICK UP A SANDSTORM
  • 3_3_B Those 'Xtreme' supercross gearheads can't get enough of the Sandstorm. That's why they get stolen. So steal one. You might try looking around Burns Hill.
  • 3_4_A SNAG ME A SCRUBBER
  • 3_4_B These street cleaners keep Steelport's streets and casino parking lots free of trash, blood and puke. You can find 'em pretty much anywhere Downtown late at night.
  • 3_5_A WHY DO I NEED A TRASH TRUCK?
  • 3_5_B Because sometimes you just need to take out the trash. These hunks of municipal steel roam the streets all over in the wee hours of the morning.
  • 3_6_A BEST TO HAUL A BIG LOAD WITH A PETERLINER
  • 3_6_B Gas ain't cheap, and with prices going up, the Peterliner's just the thing to bring back a tanker-load of black market fuel. You can find it in Espina.
  • 4_1_A RIGG'S SEA-AIR SUPPLIES HAS AN OPENING FOR A REAL SHARK
  • 4_1_B We specialize in air vehicles and watercraft, and we have an opening for someone in acquisitions. We can start small. Snag a Shark and bring it to the dock, and we'll talk more. Try up near Camano Place Waterfront.
  • 4_2_A SNAG ME A MIAMI SPEEDBOAT
  • 4_2_B This particular Miami was featured in the first episode of an '80s hit cop show, and a collector wants it bad. You can find it around the wharf in Sunset Park.
  • 4_3_A NO LONGER THE OPPRESSOR
  • 4_3_B The Oppressor's been the cops' eye in the sky, and a thorn in the side of honest criminals for years. It's perfect for carrying cops... or framing them. Get my drift? The cops usually have one parked and at-the-ready down by the old power plant in Sunset Park.
  • 4_4_A REQUIRE A COMMANDER FOR A CLIENT
  • 4_4_B This thing's a seagoing enforcer. It's just as good for chasing waterborne perps as it is cruising the Mekong Delta. And smugglers love 'em, too. You can always find a Commander docked off Sierra Point ... that's the Guard base just north of the big statue.
  • 4_5_A GOT A REQUEST FOR A HEAVY LIFTING STORK
  • 4_5_B The Stork can transport just about anything... smuggled goods, smuggled people, smuggled goods IN smuggled people. Get one in or around the airport.
  • 4_6_A ANOTHER AIRPORT RUN WITH A WOODPECKER
  • 4_6_B Normally I wouldn't ask you to land a plane on the pier, but someone stuffed this Woodpecker with some contraband we need back. Find it on the tarmac up at Cutter International.
  • 5_1_A HUMANITARIAN AID, INC. - LOCKING DOWN INSURGENTS
  • 5_1_B We provide police and military-grade equipment to an exclusive Third World clientele. We're big-league, but if you can prove yourself by stealing a Lockdown van for us, we'll enlist you further. Get law enforcement angry and take one from a roadblock.
  • 5_2_A BRAVO TARGET DESIGNATION: N-FORCER
  • 5_2_B Here at Humanitarian Aid, Inc., we think it's unfair that STAG has these monsters and our clients don't. Help even the odds. If you don't know how to get one of these N-Forcers after you by now, you're doing something wrong.
  • 5_3_A CHARLIE TARGET DESIGNATION: TORNADO
  • 5_3_B A very big client needs a Tornado to help him win a very little war. Check the Guard Base for one.
  • 5_4_A DELTA TARGET DESIGNATION: VULTURE
  • 5_4_B Killbane ordered one of these for his boys in a fit of grandiosity, but doesn't have anyone who knows how to fly it. We'll put this Vulture to better use. It's parked on a dock near the Three Count.
  • 5_5_A ECHO TARGET DESIGNATION: CHALLENGER
  • 5_5_B Yes, we want you to steal a Challenger tank. If it were easy, we wouldn't be paying you as much as we are. Try near the armory, and expect a lot more guards.
  • 5_6_A FOXTROT TARGET DESIGNATION: CONDOR
  • 5_6_B This one is the big score. STAG's heavy lifter could make somebody the ultimate getaway vehicle. The Condor is well-guarded, but you can find one near their Base in Sunset Park.

Apparently nobody bothered to verify them until now, as there were several which were wrong. -452 05:10, April 27, 2015 (UTC)
