I've touched this page up quite a bit, someone might want to look at The Vault for some layout ideas (E.g. Gallery for pictures, Video for videos, Guides for obtaining, etc.). Police Headquarters spawn[]
I thought there was a previous conversation about this, but I can't seem to find anything.
It has a 10% spawn chance, and no sure-fire way is known to make it spawn, however, there have been multiple reports of it appearing in relation to the wiretaps.
I have personally had it spawn just by entering the roof door and turning straight around. On another occasion, I seem to remember also seeing it parked on the roof from the ground, and going inside then climbing the stairs and it still being there, but I may be mistaken, as it has been a long time since that happened.
Just now, I went into the Police Headquarters and the wiretaps had re-apppeared, so I listened to each one, and ran out to the helipad between each one. After I picked up the Julius File, the Tornado was on the helipad. (Which is exactly what the article says to do.)
Since this is the only place the Beater, Standard and Bling variant spawns parked, and because it spawns so infrequently, it would be good to work out a way to make it spawn without relying on the wiretaps, since they should normally only be present once. Or, if we can work out why they sometimes re-appear.
BTW, the Tornado Cheat also spawns a Beater, Standard or Bling variant randomly.
The "Stolen Heli" objective in FUZZ is also a random spawn, it should be investigated whether it can be obtained somehow. -452 (talk) 08:20, January 25, 2014 (UTC)
After running around the Police Headquarters for ... hours, I moved on to watching Hurricanes spawn in the bay, and while driving up and down the bay just now, a tornado randomly spawned on the roof, and stayed there while I went inside and up the stairs. This time, I did nothing special - I left the duplicate wiretaps alone. It may be that because that the bay touches multiple neighborhoods, it triggered the spawn as i went back and forth. PR Center[]
Having looked in the game, searched for all sorts of combinations of terms and found no videos, no images, and indeed NO other pages of any sort except this one, to claim that there is a Tornado either on the 'west' roof of the PR Center, OR on any roof west of the PR Center, within reasonable distance...I call UTTER bullshit. - The reason why the Tornado might have not spawned is that parked vehicles don't tend to spawn if you're flying the aircraft.
- You can try stealing a F-69 from Sunset Park and flying just a little above Sierra Point helipads - the Eagles parked there are unlikely to spawn until you get out of your aircraft.
- The same is for the Tornado at PR Center - it just won't spawn unless you get to it on foot.
