Pyramid Jump in SR2[]

It was a long time ago, so I may be mistaken, but I think it is possible to do the Pyramid exit jump outside of the mission. The doors can be opened with an explosion. Getting a vehicle in there seems like it would be a problem. I seem to remember riding a Toad, but as I said, I could be mistaken. I think I exited with a Toad during the mission itself. I guess I'm going to have to try to repeat this and get a video :) --452 20:22, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah it's possible. Opening the doors is also not the problem. Its just that getting a bike off the slope of the montain in EXACTLY the right way to get in there is very tedious. I remember giving up after an hour or so trying on a previous play though some years ago. Let's just say it's not intended to be possible. SuperNull 20:30, June 7, 2012 (UTC)
Your mention of the tedium of getting a bike off the mountain exactly right gave me flashbacks. I'm glad you posted so I don't need to relive that, haha. Let's say "79 are easily accessible". ;) --452 21:22, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

SRTT bridges glitch[]

Related to jumps, what's your experience with the bridges at the end of the game? Some people say they're up, some are down. Some say completing all Stunt Jumps lowers the bridges, others say they're always up. Some say they went down after completing either end of game, or stunt jumps, others say they went down, but were back up after saving and reloading. --452 21:30, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

The bridges surrounding the zombie zone stay up.
I am unsure about the others. SuperNull 22:19, June 7, 2012 (UTC)
I was going to add the heading after you replied, and I surprised to see the heading already here - thanks!
Ah yeah, the Arapice Island bridges stay up for everyone, but some people are having the other bridges stay up as well. --452 22:30, June 7, 2012 (UTC)
OK, I had a savegame of the game being 100% completed, but one stunt jump was yet undone (screw you, number 37). All bridges were always open, checked repeatedly, even after saving and restarting the game.
I wasted time in-game by attempting the last jump and nailed it finally.
All bridges are still open, checked repeatedly, even after saving and restarting the game.
What confuses me is that I do remember at least one bridge being closed, shortly after completing the last story mission, some time ago. Very very odd...... SuperNull 00:12, June 8, 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for testing. Just for clarification, by "open" do you mean "lowered and traffic travels across them", and by "closed" you mean "raised and closed to traffic"? --452 01:34, June 8, 2012 (UTC)
Open = cars need to jump ; Closed = big boats need to detour.
But yeah, perhaps it is best to only use the words "raised" and "lowered" and never "open" or "closed". SuperNull 02:02, June 8, 2012 (UTC)
Ah, open and closed to boat, not cars, haha. so you're getting the same results as other people, bridges are staying up.
What I think is happening, although it's not fully tested, is that they're going down immediately after finishing the game, but that they aren't saved down, so after reloading, they're up and stay up. Some people are saying it was fixed in a patch, and that the patch was making them stay down. But since you said you downloaded the game recently on Steam, it should be fully patched, and you shouldn't have a problem. --452 02:11, June 8, 2012 (UTC)
The patch itself might have been buggy somehow, perhaps they never rolled out that specific patch for PC users. Maybe it matters what game ending you chose first. Maybe the bridges are on a very long time cycle (raised now, lowered after 5 game hours, raised again after 10 hours). Maybe they permanently lower 5 game hours after the last stunt jump is complete. Maybe it's random intentionally. Maybe.... SuperNull 02:38, June 8, 2012 (UTC)
All good theories! I was discussing it with User:Moozipan Cheese, who thought it mattered which game ending, but he didn't check after saving and reloading. I doubt that they raise and lower on a time cycle, since the time of day doesn't change, that would be weird. Repetitive testing is definitely needed n this one! --452 20:41, June 8, 2012 (UTC)
(resetting indent)
My findings: The bridges lower during Three Way, either time it is played, and stay lowered after the mission is completed. Saving and reloading after Three Way causes the bridges to be raised again, bridges do not go down after completing either final mission. (I have not completed all stunt jumps) -452 04:51, August 22, 2012 (UTC)
More of my findings:
I completed all but 3 Stunt Jumps after Murderbrawl XXXI and saved (leaving one land and 2 bridges, FYI), then completed those 3 jumps, then completed both endings - the bridges went down after Three Way each time, as usual, but after saving and reloading, the bridges were back up.
Conclusion: Completing all stunt jumps before finishing the game does not make the bridges stay down.
Next test will be reloading the save and finishing the game first, then completing the final jumps. I don't have high hopes for this test, but good science means testing all possibilities. -452 02:51, October 1, 2012 (UTC)
Oh yeah, I did this but forgot to mention it. In an unpatched game, I have both: "completed the game then completed all jumps" and "completed all jumps then completed the game"
In a fully patched game, I have now "completed all jumps then completed the game", but have not yet "completed the game then completed all jumps"
I also have not "completed all DLC then completed all jumps" or "completed all jumps then completed all DLC" -452 19:01, January 26, 2013 (UTC)
Ok I am 99.9999999% it works like this:
All zombie area bridges stay raised no matter what.
All other bridges lower when either one of the last missions is played BUT this is not saved in the savegame so when reloading a save, they will be raised again.
I mentioned this now in the Trivia section. SuperNull (talk) 02:51, July 8, 2013 (UTC)
Yes, it's hard to believe it's been a year since we started this conversation. :P
What has been your experience with the bridge status after playing DLC missions? -452 02:58, July 8, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah well, I got invested into this by making that map so I keep coming back :)
When I finish my current play-though I'll replay Clones and Gangstas just to check. I doubt it matters, but we'll see. SuperNull (talk) 03:17, July 8, 2013 (UTC)
Ok I finished a Clones play-though in a 100% completed game.
During the last mission (where you are allowed to run around with supersprint) some (but not all) bridges lower.
Afterwards all the bridges revert back to the raised state, except ONE. I now have one permanently lowered bridge (the north-most one between Arapice Island and Ashwood), even after saving and reloading.
Very odd..... SuperNull (talk) 11:56, July 12, 2013 (UTC)
In some of my saves, the bridges stay up after ending the game, never to go down again(unless you do the DLC missions(which basically resets the mission related map changes). But in my current save(everything completed) all bridges are down(Except the ones in arapice island).
Glazedonut (talk) 20:23, May 4, 2019 (UTC)
Interesting, thanks. Do you have other saves with everything completed where the bridges aren't down? -452 20:27, May 4, 2019 (UTC)

Jumping bridges before they are raised[]

Yesterday, in a complete fluke, I was driving around near the start of the game and happened to drive over a car while crossing a bridge - and the "stunt jump complete" message came up. This will be incredibly difficult to replicate, but it may be possible to achieve by crossing backwards and forwards over bridges while running into as many cars as possible. -452 02:58, July 8, 2013 (UTC)

I guess it is feasible in multiplayer then; The co-op buddy setting the right collision vehicle up for you at exactly the right spot.
But anyway, some of the bride jumps only require you to do a weak hop, while others require you to jump pretty far, so this might not be possible for all bridge jumps.SuperNull (talk) 03:24, July 8, 2013 (UTC)
