Description
Nytefall is Matt Miller's Loyalty Mission. The Mission starts when The Protagonist enters Matt Miller's training simulation based on Nyte Blayde fan fiction. Matt and The Protagonist travel to the 3 Count Casino which is one of The Cardinal's bases.
After ariving at the 3 Count Casino, The Cardinal unleashes a horde of zombies to kill Matt and The Protagonist. While the 2 fight of the zombies, Matt reveals that his Simulation is based on his own personal fanfiction, remarking how much it's up to the fans to keep Nyte Blayde alive, especially now that Earth is gone and no more official stories will be made.
When the zombies are dead, Nyte Blayde calls Matt and tells him to wait outside for him along with The Protagonist, greatly exciting Matt in the process. Nyte Blayde arrives through the entrance in a dramatic fashion and tells the duo that The Cardinal is on the move, and that he has whereabouts on where he is, so they travel towards the Cardinal's lair. On the way they fight some members of the Cyprian Order. During the fight, The Protagonist asks Matt about Nyte Blayde and finds out about the character's back-story, and starts to show interest in the franchise. After the fight and while traveling to The Cardinal's location, The Protagonist asks about Nyte Blayde and his love interest, further drawing them into the franchise.
Eventually, Nyte Blayde stops outside the Cathedral, something in which Matt quickly notices that something is off, in which Zinyak interferes claiming to critique Matt's fanfiction. Matt then gets angry at Zinyak and doesn't listen to The Protagonist when they warn him to get back from Nyte Blayde. Zinyak then hacks into Nyte Blayde's systems and Nyte Blayde now believes that Matt and The Protagonist are members of the Cyprian Order and attacks them with Super Powers and is backed up by Cyprian Order troops, so they are forced to kill him. Matt proclaims in anger how they will get Zinyak for what he's done and remarks how he does not want to kill Nyte Blayde and begs for forgiveness.
Once Nyte Blayde is dead, Matt becomes crestfallen and gets sympathy from The Protagonist before Zinyak butts in and criticises Matt for not accepting his version of the story, before he leaves the duo to themselves. Matt then tells The Protagonist that they should leave, but they tell Matt that he still needs Super Powers, in which Matt asks if it's from Nyte Blayde, in which The Protagonist replies that he must continue the fight and to not let Nyte Blayde die in vain. Matt gains Super Powers afterwards and The Protagonist gives all rights, merchandise and publishing deals of the Nyte Blayde franchise to Matt so he can keep it alive.

Trivia
- Over the mission The Protagonist starts to become a huge fan of Nyte Blayde so much that at the end they tell Matt Miller to "never stop" [making Nyte Blayde].
- The name of the mission might be reference to Batman comic storyline "Knightfall" wherein Batman is temporarily crippled by Bane and has someone else fill in for him. Also, the man who assumed Batman's role, Jean-Paul Valley, studied computer programming, similar to Matt Miller's computer expertise.
- Matt has disabled Super Powers for the duration of the mission, but this does not apply to any Super Homies if recruited during the mission.
- Nyte Blayde is a temporary Homie during this mission, but he is not unlocked for completing the mission. He (and Josh Birk) can instead be unlocked after completing the mission Save the Planet in the Enter the Dominatrix DLC.
- This is the only Loyalty Mission where the final enemy does not possess a shield. In addition, this is also the only Loyalty Mission where Super Powers are removed for the entire duration the mission. In contrast, both Gat Time, Fun Time and Asha's VIP restore the player's Super Powers near the end of the mission, while all other Loyalty Missions do not disable them at all.
- The song that plays in Nyte Blayde's boss battle is Precession, from Jesper Kyd's "Ultimatum" album.
- The Nyte Blayde and the Bloody Cannoness cannot be destroyed during the mission, nor can they be stored in the player's garage. The Bloody Cannoness also cannot be driven or even directly interacted with by the player.
- Nytefall is the only quest which has the same name as the related mission.
- Nyte Blade can be defeated with a single direct hit by the Abduction Gun.
- When first meeting Matt in the 3 Count, the Boss will compliment him on recreating it, even though the casino has been accessible since the Simulation was first accessible, well before Matt was freed.
- Zin-NyteBlayde has an instant-kill punch.
- Cyprian Order troops constantly swarm the battlefield while fighting Zin-NyteBlayde.
