Overview
After completing activities or stunts you are rewarded with respect which is spent on missions, from missions you acquire neighbor hoods, abilities, strongholds, weapons, bonuses, vehicles and so much more. But most important mission is where all the story comes form, that means that to achieve your goal of taking the city of Stilwater with the Saints you will need to destroy the other gangs, although strongholds destroy gangs the missions reveal more story.
When the missions are divided into four parts in Saints Row 1 and five parts in Saints Row 2
Saint Row 1 missions
The Saints row mission have been set up as three enemy gang missions which give you some bonuses usually a neighborhood and the 3rd Street Saint mission which are some tutorial missions and bonuses. They are mission for Los Carnales, West Side Rollerz and Vice Kings these all will require you to join up with one of the lieutenants and take out out the gang from their resources, and the 3rd Street Saints are some tutorial missions and bonus mission for destroying all the other gang members.
To access previously done missions you must go to a theater.

Saints Row 2 missions
As the same from the Saints Row 1 mission set up in Saints Row you have and additional mission type which is Ultor based missions. The four gangs that house the missions are 3rd Street Saints, Brotherhood, Sons of Samedi missions and Ronin missions. Unlike the previous game mission now have check points in between the game and the protagonist talking, although owning the lieutenants, the player dose not choose the gang each of their lieutenant will be plotting against.
