Revision as of 15:31, 16 November 2019
"Crack Down" is the first mission of Los Carnales story arc in Saints Row.
- The Carnales were the first organized gang in the city. The way Julius tells it, they owned the whole damn town until Benjamin King stepped up against them. [...] Now add in that the Carnales are backed by the largest drug cartel in the world, and I think you'll understand why we're gonna play this safe instead of pullin' a Johnny. We cut off their income first, then we go for Hector. Sound good?
Overview
In the first mission of the Carnales story arc, Dex meets Playa at the church. He introduces Playa to the history of the Carnales, the key figures in the gang (Hector Lopez, Angelo Lopez and Victor Rodriguez) and, along with the Colombians, their rule over the drug trade in Stilwater. Dex explains his plan to cut off the Carnales' income: Playa is to cause chaos and destroy two small drug labs while Troy looks for the main drug lab.[1]
Playa obliges and quickly destroys the two small drug labs.
Story
Upon completion of the Mission, this description is available on the 'Story' page, accessed from the 'INFO' tab of the pause menu.
Gameplay
- Go to the Carnales' drug labs and destroy their equipment.
- HUD: Labs Left: 2
This mission is available anytime after completing the 3rd Street Saints prologue mission "Reclamation". As the first mission in the Carnales story arc, it is an easy mission; requiring travelling to two destinations and destroying a drug lab at each location. The Carnales gang members offer little resistance.
The Labs are located in the The Mills and Cecil Park. The Cecil Park Lab has a rear door which leads directly to the equipment.
- Success
Upon completion of the mission, two neighborhoods are unlocked located nearby the drug labs : The Mills neighborhood at the Factories District and the Southern Cross neighborhood at the Barrio District.
- Failure
This mission can only be failed by getting smoked or busted.
Rewards
- Cash: None
- Respect: None
- Neighborhood: The Mills and Southern Cross
- Mission: The Missing Shipment

Trivia
- Dex mentions that the Carnales "were the first organized gang in [Stilwater]".[1] This is repeated in Audio Tour at the Stilwater Memorial Church in Saints Row 2, who provides further explanation about Alejandro Lopez's gang and its history with the Vice Kings, as well as Stilwater's general history.
- Some of the missions in the Sons of Samedi story arc in Saints Row 2 follow a similar concept of raiding buildings and destroying small drug labs.[2][3]
- Two neighborhoods are awarded for completing the mission, rather than one.
- By the time Saints Row 2 takes place, the building has been torn down.
- Both buildings are accessible, and the lab equipment present, at all times before and after this mission.

Dex: "Sounds pretty bad right? Unused
- I got Troy goin' into Carnales territory to find out where their main plant is, but I already know where to score product. They have labs here, here, and here. Taking them out should distract the Carnales long enough for us to find out where they're making this shit. Let's get to work.
- — Dex unused line, listed in the Message Log of the "First Blood" cutscene
