The .44 Shepherd is a weapon in Saints Row, Saints Row 2, Saints Row Undercover and Saints Row: Total Control.

Overview[]

The .44 Shepherd is the only revolver in the Saints Row series, and is the strongest pistol after the GDHC .50.

The .44 Shepherd can only fire six rounds before being reloaded, and unlike the other pistols in the game, it cannot be fired rapidly. It makes up for this with incredible stopping power and pinpoint accuracy. One shot to the chest kills a regular enemy in Saints Row, while it takes two shots in Saints Row 2.

In Saints Row and Saints Row 2, the .44 Shepherd resembles the real life Colt Anaconda with a wooden grip, and takes its name from the .44 Magnum cartridge. In Saints Row: Total Control, the .44 Shepherd resembles the Colt Python.
Mr. Wong tends to use this notably as his main weapon.
In Saints Row: The Third and Saints Row IV, the .44 Shepherd, along with the AR-40 Xtnd, NR4 and the RPG Launcher, are displayed on a wall behind the counter of Let's Pretend with an orange tip on the end, denoting that they are bb guns. ^{[Reference needed]}

In Saints Row 2, homies and enemies inside vehicles can shoot the .44 Shepherd at a much higher rate of fire than possible (at a rate similar to the VICE 9). This is particularly evident during the Fuzz activity with friendly police officers.
